An exquisite antique Victorian snake head decorated with turquoise scales and ruby eyes. The piece forms a large box clasp and was once part of a necklace with the detachable tongue forming one end of the clasp.
The piece is modelled in silver and 18ct gold with beautiful foliate patterning engraved on the underside. It would look fabulous adoring a new necklace or re-purposed as a pendant or brooch.
